Dhangadi
Srijanshil Cooperative organized a four-day electric rickshaw driving training in Dhangadhi , equipping 19 women and one man with essential skills to drive confidently. Remarkably, many participants—some of whom had never even ridden a bicycle before—are now driving independently!
This initiative, supported by REEEP-GREEN through the Sustainable Energy Challenge Fund, is promoting renewable energy technologies while encouraging women to break into a traditionally male-dominated profession. Additionally, the cooperative is providing loans to 120 individuals, enabling them to purchase their own e-rickshaws, contribute to the clean energy transition, and achieve financial independence.This initiative is part of the Team Europe Initiative (#TEI) on Green Recovery.
